Beauty For Real Light Up Lip Gloss - two newest shades: Purity, Desire - swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I've reviewed the Beauty For Real Light Up Lip Glosses on my blog before - the first time being way back in March of 2012 with two shades and again in November 2012 with their holiday trio. I love these glosses and the shades Kiss Me and Just Lust have been favorites for awhile now.

Just recently they launched two new shades: Purity and Desire. This post shows those two shades and another mini review - although my opinion hasn't changed much; I still like these glosses!!

Check out all the product info, along with my full review, after the pics!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION...

This illuminating light up lip gloss formula is like no other! It's loaded with plant derived antioxidants like green tea and grape seed extracts to deliver outstanding regenerative properties and anti-aging capabilities, as well as aloe vera and avocado oil which are full of essential vitamins, are antibacterial and highly emollient.

Their light up lip gloss has a super moist, silky feel on the lips. It's lightweight, comfortable, not sticky or tacky, yet is long wearing.

They contain a groundbreaking lip plumper which feels cool and refreshing when applied. Marine collagen infuses lips with plumping benefits, leaving lips full and luscious.

MY REVIEW...

I've been a fan of these glosses for years now. Some shades I love, others just didn't turn out to be my style. But these two shades, Purity and Desire, are both beautiful and very everyday wearable.

The shade Purity is a light pink nude shade that doesn't wash me out or make my lips look like I have concealer all over them. On their website they describe it as the perfect nude pink - and I basically agree with that statement! I find myself pairing it with bright or dark eye looks because it's the perfect neutral compliment that's still girly and fun.

Desire is more of that "your lips but better" shade, with maybe a hint of berry thrown in. In fact, on their website it's described as sheer berry without shimmer. It looks darker in the tube than on the lips, which is actually something I prefer. It's really gorgeous and I've been loving it.

I like how when you apply these your lips feels cool and refreshed. They give a great wash of shine and are fairly long lasting.

The packaging is great; you get the mirror on the side and there is the light in the cap. What makes them different from others is the light doesn't automatically turn on when you open the gloss. Instead, you can choose to turn it on or not, making it much more user friendly. I know when I saw some of those glosses that automatically light up when you open them, I thought to myself how stupid that was because you might not always want the light.

I rarely use the light on these, and honestly when I have used the light it's been for other purposes - like finding things in my purse. The mirror, however, comes in handy all the time - not just for applying the gloss, but checking if I have food in my teeth after dinner, checking my makeup, and of course to apply my lip gloss.

They'd be great to stash one in your purse at all times just for use of the mirror and light for times when you may have forgotten a mirror or in a pinch need a light. And of course, you have a gorgeous gloss to give your lips some life!

Now let me know what you think...
